The Poem of Ecstasy (Symphony No. 4)

Power and sound are hallmarks of this program. The KCS Chorus joins the orchestra for Rachmaninoff’s glorious The Bells – a festival of Slavic passion. Organist Caroline Robinson from the Curtis Institute of Music is the featured soloist in Poulenc’s Organ Concerto on the magnificent Julia Irene Kauffman Casavant Organ in Helzberg Hall. Alexander Scriabin’s Poem of Ecstasy continues the Slavic theme in this virtuoso showpiece for orchestra.
