To showcase the grand Julia Irene Kauffman Casavant Organ in Helzberg Hall, the Kansas City Symphony presents four organ recitals hosted by Michael Barone, host of American Public Media’s popular radio program, Pipedreams. The Kansas City Symphony is pleased to present organist Dr. Richard Elliott, head organist of the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City, Utah, opening the Symphony’s new Organ Recital Series. As Principal Tabernacle Organist, Dr. Elliott performs, tours, and records with the Tabernacle Choir as well as participates in weekly Music and the Spoken Word broadcasts and daily 30-minute organ recitals in the Tabernacle.
