Based on popular demand, we've created the perfect combination of a shorter format concert and social experience with family, friends, and our musicians. You’ll be uplifted by this new classical music experience brought to life by Matthias Pintscher and our talented musicians. It’s your new go-to date night! The fun continues in the lobby after the concert, as we’ll have even more memorable things for you to experience.

We’re pleased to welcome Music Director of the Berkeley Symphony Joseph Young in his first appearance as guest conductor with the Kansas City Symphony. An absolute jewel, Alexander Glazunov’s Violin Concerto sparkles with vivacious melodies and romantic appeal. By turns passionate, playful and exuberant, this rhapsodic concerto is an effervescent beauty that goes straight to the heart.

A perennial favorite, Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition displays vivid instrumental colors in Maurice Ravel’s stunning orchestration. From the stentorian trumpet call at the beginning to the massive wall of sound at the end, you’ll be transported to another world, a fantastical place of wild imagination. A bustling marketplace, catacombs, an old castle, a gnome, gates to the city of Kiev — all are depicted in Mussorgsky’s Pictures. Be sure you’re on the guest list for this art show!
