Our “Symphonic Pictures” season theme is celebrated with the most famous such work in the repertoire, Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition orchestrated by Maurice Ravel. Vadim Gluzman makes his KCS subscription debut in Tchaikovsky’s dazzling Violin Concerto. A contemporary “pictures” work, Adam Schoenberg’s Finding Rothko, starts the season with a flourish.

Join Music Director Michael Stern and musicians of the Kansas City Symphony in Brandmeyer Great Hall after the performance with champagne for the opening of our 2012-2013 Season.
