Conductor Carlos Kalmar returns to the Helzberg Hall stage to present another impeccably assembled program. The Seventh Symphony of Dvo$#345;ák reflects the political struggles of the Czech nation in the late 19th century and represents some of the composer’s best work. The refined playing of Russian pianist Yevgeny Sudbin rounds out this program with what Beethoven considered his own breakthrough piece while working to establish his performance career.
