One of rock and roll’s great storytellers, Tom Petty built a catalog of timeless anthems — “American Girl,” “Refugee,” “Free Fallin’,” “I Won’t Back Down,” “Learning to Fly” — songs defined by ringing guitars, soaring melodies and choruses made for singing along. “The Music of Tom Petty” reimagines those classics and more for full symphony orchestra, heightening the emotion at the heart of Petty’s music. With vocalist Jonah Bobo and a full rock band, the orchestra expands Petty’s signature sound, revealing new depth in songs audiences have loved for decades.
